We loved our walking tour with Vera. We took the Jakarta Cultural and Religious walking tour and could not have been happier. We walked through historic markets, saw areas and monuments of historical significance, visited the grand mosque, and sampled Indonesian fruits. Vera had a deep knowledge of Indonesian history and was able to give us a nuanced and fascinating glimpse into the layers that make Indonesia what it is. She even stayed with us an extra 45 minutes to answer our questions about Indonesian politics! Thank you so much!
I really enjoyed the walking tour with my husband.
Vera showed us the way so easily not only in crossing the crowded traffic ^o^
but also in sharing some kind of philosophy. We found it very interesting. Banyak terima kasih.
Hello Vera,
Thank you for the wonderful and impressive day in Jakarta. The tour was very good. I really love Mosque and Cathedral as well as the Old Town. I hope I can visit Jakarta again soon. ^^
I took the foodie tour and the cultural & religious tour. My walking companion was Vera. I went to Jakarta by myself with little to no trip prep time. The tours were very insightful and useful. I asked a lot of questions. This was a great way to get a general layout of the city, the culture, and the food so I could continue my solo journey afterwards. I highly recommend it!
I was in Jakarta for business but I had a free evening to see a little slice of Jakarta. So glad I found Vera! She picked me up at the hotel and we walked to the marketplace, took a taxi to a part of town with great food, and saw some local sights. Vera was the PERFECT hostess and she was open toa ll my questions about Indonesian culture. I would do another tour with Vera absolutely!
We really enjoyed Vera’s customized walking tour through Jakarta ! She knows the city and history very well and also has good contacts in the national museum and the Istiqlal mosque with a very good knowledge.
Vera is so friendly and she’s happy showing foreigners her town. We could absolutely recommend doing any tour with her 🙂
Taking a walking tour with Vera was like meeting up with friend rather than a tour guide. She made the tour very personal to my interests, and she definitely knows her way around Jakarta so it was nice to follow her and not worry about getting lost. I took the cultural and religious tour, my favorite part was the grand mosque, a sight not to be missed.
After spending most of my days in hotels, meeting rooms and taxis, my all-day walking tour with Vera of Jakarta Walking Tour was a wonderful experience. I would never have found the back alleys of Jakarta or tried local street food delicacies on my own. I learned a lot about the history and culture of Indonesia and had a memorable and enjoyable day in the process.
It was a very nice experience with Vera. This is one of the best ways to see the city in another way. You can ask Vera everything, she is a very nice person and she can give you all answers you need. The communication with Vera was very easy. The tour also was very nice and a good mixture of museum and culture and traditional things, food and markets. It was also very nice to visit some places you will net see if you are alone. So for everyone who will be in Jakarta I would recommend to book this tour and see the city and culture from another side.
Vera was punctual, accommodating, informative, and extremelu generous. She was responsive and clear when planning the tour, and offered plenty of additional advice on what I could do on my free day in Jakarta before the tour. The tour itself was relaxed and informative, and Vera appears to be sensitive to the needs of her guests. I found it difficult to pay for anything on the tour (tickets, snacks, etc) but I did manage to convince Vera to let me pay for the street-stall satay! I would highly recommend Vera as a guide to Jakarta.
